1920s Regal Hawyofone & 1930s Radio Tone

Post by Terry VunCannon »

The 1920's Regal Hawyofone & the 1930s Regal Radio Tone going to my repair guy Tom Henry/Tom's Guitar Service today for a little TLC that only Tom can do. These old square necks used to have such an eye-candy style designs...

Radio Tone reso

Post by Russell Taylor »

I recently picked up a Radio Tone reso identical to yours. It had remnants of the paper fret/notes on it.
It came in the original case with a receipt from the 1930s from the Hollywood Hawaiian Guitar School for 30 lessons & the guitar. $72.50. A lot of $$ in 1930!
I love the sound of it. Interesting history from what I could find about it.. Schireson getting sued by National for patent infringement.
