Screws for early 50’s Fender Pro?

Post by Peter Krebs »

Howdy folks! I’m restoring an early 50’s Fender Pro lap steel (with the trap pickup), and someone has removed most of the original flathead screws from the hardware on the guitar. Looking to replace these with repro screws, just not sure of a good source and what size I’ll need. Any leads would be appreciated! Thanks!

Peter, I may have some old Fender screws. Can you post a picture of the screws you're looking for so I can compare them with the ones I have?

Reduce the size of the photos (jpg or png) below 2048x2048 pixels and less that 8 MB, and there should be no problem uploading. Look at the piles of threads in Forum Feedback for info on how to do this.

Take a look at what McMaster Carr has. That’s where I got some replacement screws for my Gibson BR-9.
