"To Cold At Home" Need Help With Mid-Song Paul Franklin Lick

Post by Bill Rowlett »

I need help figuring out a mid-song lick from the Original CD cut of Mark Chestnut's "To Cold At Home" with Paul Franklin playing (Slim plays this lick too).

The lick is 2:00 minutes into the song right at the end of the first time Mark sings "Good looking thing in the corner keeps smiling back at me. It's dissonant counter point lick sliding from the five chord back to the root. I know the Emmons played a similar lick and Dicky Overbey was a master of these kinds of licks.

I hope one of you can help me figure this out. Slowing down the recording hasn't enabled me to get it.

Thanks,
Bill

Thank you Ricky, that's it. I appreciate you finding that post for me.

I searched, but somehow did not see that one.

I've got a new arrow in my quiver now.

Thank you for all you do for our community!
