Oh no, how sad! I was a big fan when she was part of the Dixie Chicks. Tragic news 😢

Yes Laura was founding member and played a awesome upright Bass; that's her in the red. This was back when I knew them and did some shows along side them when I played with Gary P Nunn and Lloyd Maines was already pickin some with them...early 90's; those were the days.

I wonder if the public will ever find out just who killed Laura Lynch. There sure seems to be a lot of secrecy around her death.

I started playing in 1992 and Lloyd's vhs instructional tape was my first lesson after Scotty's Anthology. I still have Lloyds little tiny tab book. I want to say also Ricky that your tab for Lost in the Feeling got me my first job :D

It has been over a month since her death and they still haven't released any info on who killed her. SHAME!!! I wonder what the police, media, and others are hiding or covering up. This sure doesn't pass the smell test.

That stuff happens. A little mom-and-pop BBQ place near us got stove in late one night, vehicle had bounced across another lot and drove right into the diner. It was "under investigation". When they reopened I asked the woman who it was. Don't recall her exact words but from her expression and choice of words it was obvious the driver had connections and it was all being kept quiet.

My guess is the driver of the pickup was a politician or a politician's relative, or some other "special" person who was able to get things hushed up. If you really want to know you could try some sort of Freedom Of Information request, but it wouldn't bring her back and probably would not cause any consequences for the driver anyway.

RIP Laura Lynch

Sad to hear of Laura Lynches deadly incident.

Law Enforcement is not talking, Because it is an ongoing investigation. Lab reports, And incident reconstruction takes a lot of work and time to properly investigate.

Some serious charges, Could come out of this incident.

You should contact the Texas Dept. of Public Safety to see if there's been an update on this accident.

I tried to contact them yesterday, but all it is is a great big answering machine that's impossible to defeat. You cannot talk with a human. All other "updates" have been saying the same thing for months.

Month number four and we still don't know who killed Laura. Some Forum members from the El Paso area should be putting some pressure on the powers-that-be in the area. The squeaky wheel gets oiled first.
