Hi Carmen Thank you so much. I hadn't hear the song before John Davis on the British Steelies site asked me to have a go at it. When I looked it up I checked out who wrote it as [For the Good Times. hit me straight away (chorus) I love the tone of my Guitar. John asked me why I was selling my Emmons Loafer. The answer was I love the tone of the one I made. Also it's a UNI thought I would never get used to the missing 9th D string and Eb/F levers on Right Knee. Feels so right now. Love it. Dave :D

Hi Dale thank you. I had Never heard the song before. I recorded a version of it and emailed it to John Davis he told me I needed to put more of the melody line in. It was only after I had recorded it again that I came across yours and Bill Suttons excellent versions. Dave :D When I first heard it I thought of For the Good Times

😂 I can tell it is!
Btw, you managed to blend in beautifully with the track, in all aspects, intonation, tone, depth and style… JD

Hi JD Thank you. I Appreciate your kind words. Its got to be the best instrument in the world. Surprises me on every song. I usually know if I want to continue with a song if I find an intro or ending that makes me sit up. This one was because John Davis in the uk asked me to have ago at it. He lives and breaths Pedal steel and has done a lot over here to promote it. So this ones for Our JD. (John Davis) Dave :D

Hi Larry Thank you glad you liked it. I will post some pics. My Daughter and her partner have just split up so lots of Dad stuff to do at the moment. Have been meaning to get pics of the undercarriage for a while. When I Retire I will re do all of the knee levers and sort out the switch panel on the arm rest. I had designed a new fret board on excel some years ago as the one at the moment is an Emmons 12 string. Dave :)
