Beautiful!
Wow, that's very accomplished playing. Your picking technique and accuracy of tone is admirable. It's interesting that you use so little volume pedal. I would have thought that in this style it would be more prominent.

1976 & 1978 Sho Bud E9 single neck. (Both are the same beautiful natural maple guitars but 2 years apart!) Fender Blues Jr. amp. More than a few acoustic, classical, and elect. guitars because I own a small guitar factory in South America I started in 1995: www.VogelGuitars.com

Re: Beautiful!
Thanks so much Bob ... I've never been happy with my picking technique or bar control, but that may be endemic with all steel "attempters" where we just never seem to achieve what we're trying to achieve. At least thats the way it is with me, aside from the fact I'm pretty good at beating myself upBob Vogel wrote:Wow, that's very accomplished playing. Thanks Kerry (My youngest brothers name) this guitar really does sound tremendous, I wish I was better at conveying just how good it sounds in my studio vs what you may hear in my meager recordings.Kerry Johnson wrote:Really nice Dale.
That new Rittenberry sure sounds great!
Curious to know about what chain of amplification you used for this video.
I'm kind of a set it forget it guy so I had to look.
Steel > the in of Sarno Black Box, and then out of there > the In of Telonics Multi Taper, ... Then the 1st out of the Telonics Multi Taper > Benado Steel Dream... Steel Dream to Quilter 202, and using the FX Send/Return and then Sig out from 202 into my 1824c PreSonus Interface. However, although I used to record with that chain, what was recorded in this song and the last 2-3? came from the second out of my volume pedal into my interface, so was recorded completely dry and then added reverb and delay a touch of compression in my DAW.
So for clarity,
Steel > BB > Telonics VP > Benado > 202 > Interface > DAW (what I hear in the room, but not recorded)
2nd Out of VP DRY > Interface > DAW > FX added in post with Rev/Del/Compression
