Margo Smith Has Died

Post by Chris Templeton »

I enjoyed playing for Margo Smith at Cowboy Kurt's Festival, in Geneva, Switzerland.
I played for The Lagarde Twins and Randy Boone as well.

I met her at a show I worked in Oxford Florida (The Villages where she lived). She was gracious enough to get up and join in our finale song.

RIP

Condolences to Margo's family. RIP Margo. Barb & I had the honor of backing Margo along with a couple other Opry Ladies back in 2001 at a Casino in Wisconsin. She was a great singer and personality. I remember she had a cold and didn't feel her best, but still put on an excellent performance!! Sad news.
