New Music Video for Palindrome (pedal steel instrumental)

Post by Alex Cattaneo »

So, realizing that promoting original music without visuals is virtually impossible nowadays, I wanted to do an actual music video to promote my music and help people see what a pedal steel looks like. So many people, even pro musicians and engineers, confuse lap steel, pedal steel and slide guitar, although I presume everyone here deals with that on a regular basis, outside the major pedal steel hubs at least.

So here is the video for my composition Palindrome. The red Fessenden really POPS!

This is not a filmed live performance. We did our best to play along with the record... but that's pretty much impossible in the improvised solo section, hahaha! For those wondering how we pull this off in concert, here's a live performance of the same piece:

While I'm on the subject of Youtube, I have 938 subscribers right now (most of it driven by my covers of Paul Franklin solos I'm sure. The Walk Of Life solo has close to 120K views!). So, VERY close to the 1000 subscribers threshold! If any of you enjoy my music, PLEASE subscribe. Thank you!
