Are BJS bars still available?

Are BJS bars still available?

Post by Justin Shaw »

I have sent several question emails without response. It's still possible to order but I don't want to order if the site (http://www.bjsbars.com) is dead.

I got one several months ago without trouble. You could contact Al Brisco in Canada, he should have them https://www.steelguitarcanada.com/online-store/bars/

I bought a 10 string bar, then realized my first finger was too long for it to be comfortable without bending my finger inward, and got a 12 string bar immediately after. I keep the 10 string in my case in the unlikely event I forget my other one

Butch is an absolute blessing to the PSG world. You're better off calling him on the phone. What size are you needing?

I just ordered a BJS bar about three weeks ago. Called him by phone. Love the bar, by the way.

You can't hardly beat the BJS John Hughey bar.
The only bar that might beat it is the Zirc bar.

Justin,

I did not get in contact with anyone at BJS before ordering my bar. I ordered my bar about a month ago, and it came in within a week or so - a very timely manner.

So as of about a month ago, they're still trucking along at BJS.

Regards,
Eric

Butch offers an excellent product and quick shipping. Here’s my new BJS 7/8 12 string bar, received it 3 days after ordering online.

I just spoke to Butch at BJS and he is waiting for a shipment from the chrome plater. I am dying to try out a 12 string bar since I play a U-12 and my fingers are long. I'm going to take Paul Franklin's advice and try one!

BJS tone bars

Post by Al Brisco »

Hi Bryce,

Thanks for the mention, however I retired in August & sold our property, moved 3 hours away & Betty & I are now renting.

I still do a bit of playing, however it gets harder to carry the equipment...Ha, Ha.

I just got one maybe a week or two ago. I know he had been waiting to get them back from the plater and had said they had just come in. So he may be waiting for the next batch again now, as it seems they tend to go as fast as they come in. Phenomenal product, and great service!!!

Butch sent me a 15/16 10 string about 2 weeks ago. I reached out in November, and he said he would get a hold of me as soon as they arrived from plating. Butch is great!

Butch

I’ve been in Contact with Butch twice this week to talk about what’s happening with New Inventory stock, He took a personal Road-trip to Chicago to personally talk to the person he uses to harden and chrome his BJS TONEBAR’S, however there seems to be a kink in the process that needs to be worked out, He’s actually hoping to get things moving in a positive direction in the next 2-3 weeks. He has put together a mixture of different Bars as far as sizes go but he’s at the Mercy of the person or persons that do the actual Hardining and all that other business so long story short…It’s going to be awhile but the good news is There will be some TONEBAR’S available at some point in the not so distant future.
Patience is Our Virtue!
Peace!

Butch at BJS bars contacted me last week as he received a shipment. I ended up buying a 4 inch 7/8" bar. I have long fingers. I like it! :)
