Yes Ma’am

Post by Rick Campbell »

Here’s the latest “one man band” production from my home studio. Leona Williams song. Using BIAB, MIDI, Emmons 1974 PP direct through Quilter Superblock, Gretsch Lead Guitar, Glasser Carbon Fiber Fiddle, UVI Workstation Upright Bass, EZ Keys Piano, Presonus Studio One DAW, Vocals AT-4047 through UA LA-610, etc…

I played fiddle for Leona several times. She’s always good to work with and she is all about real country music.

Hope you enjoy!

Rick, awesome, nice job! We're overdue to come down your way again, hopefully in January.

Carmen, good to see you're still at it! Have not forgotten the fine time we had in Amarillo, wish the Posse was closer to us.

Merry Christmas to you both!
Many play better than I do. Nobody has more fun.

Very nice, Rick. You play all the instruments very well and your voice sounds great. Wish music like this was still on country music radio.

I don't think we're going to hear this music on the radio anytime soon, if ever. That's one reason I do this kind of music. The other reasons are because it's my favorite music and I have a better understanding of it than the newer music. I've enjoyed traditional country all my life and I feel some obligation to the greats of the 60's and 70's to do my little part to keep their music alive. There's still a lot of traditional country being played in Texas, but here in East Tennessee you don't hear that much. I think Nashville has some traditional country scattered around if you're willing to search for it.

Super nice job as usual. I think it's time for another one of those certificates of achievement that I see behind you.
I don't know much but what I know I know very well.
Carter S-10 3X5, Peavey Nashville 112, plus Regal dobro and too many other instruments to mention.
Bluegrass Island CFCY FM 95.1 Charlottetown, PE, Canada, on the web at cfcy.fm.
A Touch Of Texas CIOE FM 97.5 Sackville, NS, Canada,

Thank you for the compliments. That certificate is actually from where I did the online course to renew my FAA remote pilot license. I put it there so I wouldn’t lose it in all the song charts and lyrics floating around in that room. It gets pretty disorganized at times. :)

Another good one Rick!!! Move to Austin (... or wait, maybe somewhere just 'kinda close', I wouldn't wish living in Austin on anyone I like.. LOL) and I'll keep you busy! Awesome job, as always.

Summer Dean did a really good version of that song a couple of years ago on "Bad Romantic".

Wonderful production, that 4/4 shuffle really comes alive, and you sing your #ss off. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you my friend. Maybe we should try to put a music event together in the Morristown area. Used to be a lot of music there. I got my start playing at the Am Vets out on South Cumberland and the Moose Lodge in Buffalo Trail area. That’s been many moons ago.
