New Video - Spanish Eyes - E9 pedal steel @@

Post by Doug Beaumier »

Here's a simple melody that I always thought would make a good steel guitar instrumental. The hardest part of this song is holding back and Not putting in a bunch of licks in all those open spaces with long, sustained notes. It takes a lot of self-control. :) Thanks for watching.

Will, yes, Al Martino had a big hit with this one. A lot of other singers have recorded it as well.

Hi Bud, yes... I broke out the old Emmons for this one! Old habits are hard to break. :)

Well from one novice to another, good job.
Seroiusly, I really liked your arrangement and the simplicity in the playing.

I have played this song on many different guitars over the years, guess it's time to learn it on the psg.

Very nice Doug.

It's a pretty simple arrangement. Pedals A, B, C. Levers E to F, and E to D#.

Nice one Doug. Great melody. How were you doing the harmonics on the ending? Wish mine were that clear. Oh well back to the woodshed.

I use the edge of my right hand for harmonics.
