I was just remembering back to a concert I saw in Biloxi, MS, 30+ years ago. Great night out: Pam Tillis was just beginning to explode on the national country scene and she opened for George Strait. Gary Morse was playing steel for Pam at the time (great player!) and I still remember Pam introducing her band and saying, "this is the best band I can afford!"

Lance is my cousin. I sold him one of my Derby’s D10. He loves it.

I just saw Pam Tillis at The Bull Run Tavern in Shirley MA. The show was on September 23rd.
Pam played acoustic guitar. Pam had a female keyboard player and a female fiddle player. Both were exceptional musicians. Pam connected with the audience like no other I have seen, except maybe Kathy Mattea. Pam put on a great show and supported her band members by giving them a good amount of playing time.
No steeler on this show... But I kind of got the feeling this was somewhat of a "one off" show, not a tour stop.
