Every once in awhile, you hear something that makes you want to give up music, sell your instruments, and take up goat farming.

This one 'bout did it for me; a totally insane version of the old 1918 jazz standard "After You've Gone".

Indeed, the combination of the Emmet Cohen trio and Patrick Bartley always delivers. Hours more of them to enjoy on Emmet's YouTube channel. Amazing players who always have a great time while playing at an insane level.

I though I pretty much knew what a saxophone is capable of - so I was wrong! As for the piano, it's now more of a mystery than it was already Smile

Well. My. They really get cranked up there at the end.

That was hotter than a Phoenix sidewalk in August.

Above and beyond proficient, reminds me of a Monterey Jazz Festival I went to about 10 years ago, where the best musician there was a TUBA player…just blew me away!
I can appreciate the comment about the Phoenix sidewalk
I’ve been playin’ too long to stop now, ✌️
