changing a Jackson six string Nashville open E to an E9 tuni

Post by Richard Foster »

Hi guys ordered a six string from Jackson with 3 pedals and two knee levers with E9 tuning. It came with a Nashville open E tuning instead. I sent a email to Jackson about the mistake. My question is this how hard would it be to change it to E9th tuning? I already have two s10 guitars with E9th tuning. I am relatively new to pedal steel, but my grandson said he wanted to learn. So I thought a six string E9th would be a nice learning tool, and easier for Grandpa to take to jam sessions, and excuse to purchase another guitar. ( I mean I already ice 23 regular guitars, acoustic and electric). all my lesson , materials and tabs are for E9th. So any and all help is appreciated . As a side note the Jackson guitar is very well built looks great, the sustain is very good not quite as light as I thought it would be, the string spacing is very good, sounds good through my little spark practice amp, but sounds great through my twin and my Quilter.

Thanks Rich Foster
