I’m with you Gil…was attending the Big D show several years ago and I had a thought of getting out of the “steel bidness”….hearing Buddy totally kill in’ it reminded me of Herby’s tearing it up….really humbles the soul for sure! Hat’s off to the Masters…👍. Thanks Wade….Carl

I've seen this several times and never get tired of it. I wish the audio was better but it still gets my blood boiling. Smoking hot all around.

I've seen this many times and it is smokin' HOT.
Every time I see it, makes me want to burn my gear in the backyard! Between The Big "E" and Herby Wallace they are the best at S.S.Cool! Reminds me that I will not live long enough to play like that. :\
Pardon me while I start the fire out back.

Another wild ride here:

https://youtu.be/BtHYX8S-Ogg

A family member of mine raves about Pat Martino and he just never connected for me….until I heard Emmons play this one.

In his book he says, “…Pat’s scales seemed to open the door for me to a world that was already there and I didn’t know it.” It seems that door might be to an alternate universe. 🤠

The riff from approx 1:30 to the end always slays me.

1) The admiration on the faces of the band members
2) The smile on his face when he hits those harmonies he likes.
