Pure Prairie League 50yrs and still going

Post by Dave Morrison »

Crazy how quick time flies by. I was talking to John Call last night and all I can say is what a wonderful human being he is. I always enjoy his tales of road life and am always amazed by his knowledge about electronics and mechanical issues related to our beloved instrument. Anyway check out they’re schedule and go out to see them if they come near to you.

I saw PPL in Plymouth NH pre-COVID and it was a great night out. Lots of great pedal steel from one of my influences back in the country rock years - thanks, John, for helping to spark my interest in the instrument all those years ago.

I’m with ya Jeff. Every time I talk to him I remind him of how much he influenced me and honestly probably still does. My first Sho Bud was like the red one he used on most of their albums. He still has that guitar!!

They are playing by me in March, trying to see if I can make it.
