Just gave a Dekley U12 a new home
I just bought it yesterday and it's in very good shape. I was wondering, if there are any other Dekley U12 players out there, could you share your opinions/advice about this little beast....yes, it weighs a TON!!
Do they have any weak areas or typical problems that I should be aware of? Are there sources for parts?
Anyway, thanks in advance for your help.

Contact Scotty Henerson. he has a S-12 Deckely and it is one to best sounded guiars around.. He an tell you about the detals of ths great gutar.. He is a regular on the forum. Scotty Henerderson is at home on the Universal S-12 and D-10.. ane slide guitars.. Just a super guy and can't say enough about his refreshing style of playing.. To hear him play he hurts my hands.. LOL.. Check out their Jazzahillies CD... It is getting great reviews.. He is a multi-instrument accomlished player.. I think think Scotty is one of the most unrated player in the steel industry.. I would be a great steel player if I could play 50% of the stuff that he plays..
Plus he is a super friend and a nice guy,,,,

Thanks for asking, Steve. I'm in the process of a major teardown, cleaning, and readjustment. It needed some important TLC. It sounds better than my Fessy U12...which blew me sideways!!
Never would have beleived that in a million years, but it's true!! I haven't found any noticeable wear or mechanical problems at all...just lots of grime.
So I'll get her all polished up and post a pic as soon as possible. I'll be selling the Fessy shortly after that, also.
Right now, I'm a very happy camper!!
