This is kind of a silly question unrelated to how the play and sound, but I think the full wood cabinets of the permanents is pretty classy looking. Some of those radiuses and curves seem like they be hard to accomplish…are they veneered?

In 1981, I was working with a woman who knew Rick Derringer's wife and we visited them in their home in NYC. There, I spied the 'bud in his music room and ended up taking it home that night. A nice upgrade from the Marlen
He played it on some Edger Winter tracks.
It was Halloween night when I was at the Derringer's and Dick Clark was showing TV performances of groups from the 60's. One of them was Rick with the McCoys doing "Hang On Sloopy". I think Rick was 15.
Wow! Having the real guy sitting to my left!
I few years ago I sold it to. Mike Cass. He might still have it or it's out there somewhere.
I'd love to see a pic.

The night after, Rick's band was the first rock act to play the Lone Star Cafe, in NYC.
After the gig, their equipment truck was all loaded up and it was stolen.
In the mid nineties, I was recording at Prairie Sun Studios in Cotati, CA, and bass player, Segovia Bader (RIP) was recording on Rick's record.

When I came up with it, I thought about it being an updated, Tapper version of "Steel Guitar Rag".

This one is a work in progress, not ready to play yet but a very interesting perm. It has the later style under carriage with 2 hole pullers had to be made in the early 70's.

From the pattern of extra holes, it looks like maybe it started out with an earlier undercarriage, and was altered in the 70s.

Is that 3D logo on the pedal bar original to the guitar? I’ve never seen that before, looks pretty cool (this whole frickin’ thread is super cool actually).

I think there could have been some changes made, but to get to this point would have required a complete new undercarriage design, and repaint with the 70's green paint job. seems like a lot of work to do to a guitar.

The logo on the pedal rack is not original, it's like the one used on the amps. I put it on because I like the way it looks.
