Little Rock Getaway-Short Tab C6

Post by John Swain »

Here's a way of archiving chord melody arrangements without the tedium of tabbing out every note..I call it "short tab"like shorthand! The first number is the fret, then pedals( 4-8 on C6, knee levers are named by note they give you on open strings..ie:10/56Bb..would be 10th fret 5+6 pedals + Bb knee lever .You have to know the melody in your head to use this!..JS

I said it once and I'll say it again...John's short tab is a great idea. It gets you in the ballpark of where you need to be without a bunch of searching.

He and I got together this morning via FACEBOOK video and had a great time just playing different things and ideas together. He bought up this tab and I've been having fun with it all afternoon.

I had missed the original post…

I love the Short Tab. And thanks, Ron Hogan for the Clyp clip.
