The B11th tuning is unique in the steel guitar universe for the way that it really seems to conjure a mood because of the way it's voiced. Looking at its open strings, B11th is a combination tuning of A major/A6th sounds on top and B dominant sounds in the middle and lower register. Strumming all 6 strings yields a B11th chord.
