Eddie Lange seems to know every signature lick in every song ever recorded featuring pedal steel guitar
Fabulous player and musician |

it is great to see and hear Eddie. He is truly one of the best there is and gets too little recognition.
And on top of that, a band that is rehearsed and so much twinning by steel and guitar.
I would almost die to play in a band like that instead of just going onstage and having a freeforall. _________________ AUTHORIZED George L's, Goodrich, Telonics and Peavey Dealer: I have 2 steels and several amps. Thanks for posting, great solo on the back neck at 36:15 or so. Joshua H has a nice break on his fiddle just before
That youtube channel has 18 vids(!) of that band, can anybody tell me if this is Doug Jernigan sitting in? Kind of a dark video. Thanks

It isn’t Doug Jernigan, this steel player ( Tom Killan ) was apparently with George Jones for several years. He had an interesting mix of old style palm blocking and pick blocking and some cool old school licks. _________________ I thought Nashville was the roughest, but I know I’ve said the same about them all.

I got to see Eddie at a steel jam in Swansea Illinois a few years ago. He sat quietly until his turn and proceeded to smoke everyone in the room with causal ease. I was floored by his tone and ability and watched for him at other places. Monster player. |
