Does anyone know who played the twin guitar part in that song one guy double tracking, two guys playing together... it had a kind of post Allman brothers brilliance... thanks in advance

I remember him from Linda Ronstadt’s band. You’re No Good - that was him. He was an LA session ace in the 70’s & 80’s. Some of the older LA area Forum members here probably worked with him.

Great player, Andrew Gold. Sadly, passed away in 2011. Saw him perform with supergroup Bryndle at McCabe's in Santa Monica years ago.

Yep... great player/singer & a good guy.
He also wrote "Thank You For Being A Friend", the theme song to The Golden Girls TV show.

Seems Andrew Gold was included in a large circle of singers and musicians that worked together a lot on the west coast. I have some old LPs where he's playing guitar and keyboards, maybe other instruments and doing backup vocals.

He's all over Karla Bonoff's '77 self titled LP along with a stellar cast of musicians, but not on steel.

I don't recall knowing he played pedal steel also.

I did not know that Bryndle began in the 70s. I was only familiar with some of the 90s music with Karla and the re-emergence, I guess, of the group Bryndle.

I never met the guy but he had a sense of humor. I recall a Ronstadt concert where he was wearing a vest. When they were doing intros, as they said his name he opened one side of the vest with one hand and pointed at it with his other. The inside lining of the vest was gold.

I don't know why, but that memory has stayed with me all these years.
