Emmons push/pull restoration

I just finished up restoring an Emmons p/p.
I have asked Crowbear to put some pictures up for me.

I am quite proud of the way this guitar turned out. It was completely disassembled, refinished and then reassembled.

I did a little swapping around with another p/p that I got from Buster Warren. Buster's guitar had wood necks on a mica guitar and the lacquered guitar in the pictures originally had metal necks.

The wood necks on Buster's guitar didn't have wood inlay so I got some matching inlay from Constantines and routed it into the necks. These are the necks pictured on the guitar.

Thanks sooooooo much for putting up the pictures, Crowbear!

I have a couple of more lacquered p/p's that I will be refinishing. It's a lot of work but it keeps me out of the bars.

I'll maybe impose on Crowbear once more if he will post some pictures of another recently completed p/p. This one is a more conventional looking mica Emmons with the metal necks that were taken from the above guitar.

This red, mica Emmons p/p is a '66 model S/N 1002.

You gentlemen do some fine work. Someday when the kids are gone and I've got a bit more time on my hands, I'd love to take on a project like that. Again, that is some great craftsmanship.

It really is a labor of love. I don't know how many hours I have in on these guitars but even if I was to charge minimum wage, nobody could afford them!
