The best side-by-side testing methods for things like amps and speakers etc. is the use of a recorded clip, re-amped thru the item being compared. It's funny that for this, you obviously can't do that.
It's so hard to play something the same over & over. And to not be affected by the tone coming back at you as you play -- that's another thing that makes this so difficult to pull off.
I've got to say that because of the brilliance of the modular pickup rig of MSA (and Sierra), the Youtube pickup demos that Mickey Adams did might be more informative than these.

Jon, that was so cool. I noticed the difference and I'm still sold on the E66 or the Wallace Truetone. Thanks.
