I think Weldon Myrick was still on, wasn't until a couple years later around 1998 or so that he was replaced. If you talking about the road pickers, I remember Hank Corwin too.

Weldon Myrick's music history lists him as house band steel guitarist for 32 years from 1968 to about 2000 at the Grand Old Opry.

Donna Hammitt played steel at the Opry with Bill Anderson, When she was in his road band.

Awesome, Ricky! That sound is what drew me to the steel in the first place.

Ricky, I enjoyed seeing the clip you posted. I like the music played by Dale and always love to hear you play.
I had the Opry show recorded and went through it using the fast forward often. I'm just not too proud of what the Opry has become. Just my opinion.

Some interesting information here, I believe though that the original question posted (and answered) was regarding the recent TV special 95 Years of the Opry.

Didn’t know there was a tv special, I haven’t watched the opry in years, I came to the same conclusion. Does bring back a lot of good memories though.
