Thank you for the clarification; I did not know that the factory kits and factory mods were different.

the only real important reply back is,

" How much $$ does the seller want " ? Did you even say ?

All this other conversation is peripheral, its a great amp one way or the other. The last N400 I owned I paid $325 at a pawn shop, I sold it a few years later for $350, it was a mid 80's amp.

Just buy the dang thing forget about all this technical UPDATES stuff.

While you are analyzing all these details to death , another Steel player will just look at it, turn it on, confirm it works and buy it.

A trick I saw Mark Robinson use to see the little white sticker next to the speaker terminals without taking the speaker out. Use your phone and take a photo. You cant see the sticker, but your phone can.

I believe Richard is right that the 1502-4 should be in there unless the speaker has been changed out which happens quite often in amps of this age.
