I checked allmusic.com but they don’t even list that song on the album. No credits either.
I don't know much but what I know I know very well.

According to an older post by Al Miller it’s Buddy Emmons.

I talk to Claude all the time. That is Buddy Emmons. Claude used Buddy on most of his recordings. He was in a car wreck in Saturday. He is okay but his car was totaled.

This is COUNTRY Music; Claude dedicated to singing Johnny Paycheck songs on the album "Claude Grey Sings"(this is the best I've ever heard Claude and of course Lloyds playing is beyond anything from that time)
And this is Lloyd Green:

I played a couple of auditorium concerts with Claude in his hometown Henderson, Tx. I played bass and Walter Haynes played the steel. He's a big man. I'm 6'2" and he towered over me. He had some good country hits. I miss country music.

Thanks to everyone for the info. I had forgotten about Claude Gray until his name was brought up while a friend and I were talking. What good music he put out. I am still confused though
as to who played on "Your Devil Memory" It seems to be Lloyd according to Ricky. Thank you!

No Dale I didn't say Lloyd played on "Your Devil Memory"; I said and linked the "Sings" Album Lloyd played on;and "your devil memory" is not on that album. I linked the songs that Lloyd recorded with Claude.
The steel playing on "Your Devil Memory" certainly does sound like Buddy Emmons to me. I only posted Lloyd's contribution to this great singer; I just don't have history on Buddy, but I have heard Buddy of course for a long long time and a bazzillion songs and I would say; hands down, that is Buddy Emmons on "Your Devil Memory".

No Prob. Dale.
Well we are trying to keep it alive. This is a young man I produce and played Steel on all 5 of his records and yes it is COUNTRY...as I produced most of his stuff including this video with us playing and yes that is me on steel, and that is the second LDG made as my mentor Lloyd has #1 and me #2. and yes I sang Harmony on all www.weldonhenson.com songs.

I could never understand why Claude never got the Fame he most certainly deserved. GREAT COUNTRY SINGER. Everyone should hear his album THE EASY WAY OF CLAUDE GRAY!! Buddy was LARGE on every cut. It was on Decca #DL4963.
What a shame you can't hear this on the radio --- just country rap - or crap whatever comes first. P.H.
