I have the Strobostomp "Classic," which is similar. I wonder if this one is better or how it differs.
The Peterson strobe tuners are just great. I am actually a bit self-conscious about the fact if I'm ever without a Peteson strobe tuner, I will not know how to tune my guitar.

Lot's of info here including an undocumented setting from Peterson that will let you change presets using the footswitch. This saves you having to reach down to activate the side buttons.

I just got mine! What sweetened settings would one recommend for:

E9 Pedal Steel 10 String -SE9, SP9
C6 6 String Lap /ConsoleSteel -LC6
Telecaster 6 string standard tuning -GTR
Acoustic Guild 6 string -ACU

My guesses are to the right of each one, mostly thinking there might be a couple competing E9s that I'd be wise to consider.

Any advice would be appreciated.

These are exactly the presets I have loaded. The others I've used for some time but I haven't used ACU before. I plan to experiment with that one. I did read somewhere else on this forum that ACU is good by itself but may not play nice with SE9 as E's are flattened in ACU and sharpened in SE9. Regarding E9 options, there are a few others e.g. OE9/OP9 but I've not tried any, always been happy with SE9/SP9.

excellent question, I was also going to ask if anybody has one the prefer to Sid Hudson's e9, which is the only PSG one i've used.. There was an older thread about octave-specific settings for the 12 notes, is anybody doing that?

What I do is, take a short 1/4" stubby plug in the jack on my guitar, plug in the Stomp to it and then the guitar cord to the other end. That way I don't have any extra cables to bother with.

Drawback: If you look at the picture, the tuner is upside down, but that doesn't bother me, as it rotates during tuning and works fine for me.

Also, to get to a couple of the nylon tuners, you turn the tuner more vertical to get the wrench in. No big deal at all.

The app for customizing everything on the tuner is great and easy to use.
Programmed my off sets into it in less than 5 minutes on my laptop.
For me, there`s no need for a clamp, the big screen is easily visible from the floor.

Kinda surprised they don't have the screw in socket for the clamp like the strobo flips did. It's not too heavy, I was going to velcro it to the cabinet somewhere (industrial 10 pound velcro from Home Depot, tho they sell a higher grade, 15 pounds) but haven't got around tuit

I actually took mine apart thinking I'd reverse the wiring. What I found is no wiring and jacks directly soldered to the circuit board. Oh well. It's still very usuable the way I use it. It's what you get use to.

I ended up ordering an offset version that offers more swing for accommodating the tuning of the nylon hex tuners, will post a pic when I receive it.
