Magnatone T8 Tri-color?

Post by Mark Helm »

Here’s one I haven’t seen before! Always cool to see something new from 1950. Anyone have info on this guitar?

One just showed up on Reverb, $4,500.

I saw that one too..I love those Magnatone Jeweltone steels. I wish I could see what it looks like under the tuner cover. I don't recall any of the single neck versions having side mount tuners.

Condensed to a .jpeg photo, for saving to your
computer. These Magnatone JEWELTONES are wonderful
LAP STEELS- with aluminum plate running thru the
layers.

Ha. I should have looked at the original date of this thread before I went scouring Reverb for better pictures! Not that I don't appreciate Barney taking the trouble to post that article. I have a cast aluminum Aloha guitar with lots of lucite added that is apparently a cousin to those Jeweltones.
