Hey... it's not
that kind of video!
"Penetration" is a 1960s surf guitar tune by the Pyramids. The tuning I'm using (high to low): D, C, Bb, A, G, F. Hope you like it. Surfs up!

That's it, Jeff! Hang ten and penetrate the pipeline, but don't wipe out.

Doug!
You are truly amazing! I`ve never seen, nor heard, anybody do things, (acrobatics) like you do, and get those sounds out of your playing. One word "Fantastic". Keep up the good work.

You've definitely conquered the surf sound. What sort of processors are you using, because your lap steel sounds like surf music even when you're playing open strings?
I used to like that sound, and it's a shame you don't hear much of it nowadays. Whatever happened to the String-a-Longs, the Tornados, the Surfaris, etc.?

Thanks, Alan. The only effect I’m using is reverb, a Holy Grail, spring setting, lots of reverb. Also a black box, but that’s not an effect, just a tube filter. And a Nashville 112 amp.

yeah, Doug you nailed the reverb sound and I wouldn’t have thought that possible with digital gear. Great tune, near flawless execution. Brings back a long lost era...now if it could just bring back hair. Too cool.

Mine too Doug!
I had a huge crush on Annette, right from the Mickey Mouse Club days.
