Here is a bouncy tune from the late fifties. Lucky Lips was written by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. It was originally recorded by R&B singer Ruth Brown for Atlantic Records in New York in 1957, and was successfully covered by Cliff Richard and The Shadows in 1963. The version went to number 4 in the UK, and in Belgium, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Netherlands, Norway, South Africa, Sweden and Switzerland became a number one single.
This steel guitar cover version from my CD "Sweet Sound of Beautiful" was recorded with the Steelocaster, with two acoustic rhythm tracks ( Martin Custom X) adding to a backing track by Richard of mbt.com. Key of E.
Good job! I've always loved this tune, it's good ole' Rock 'n Roll,I loved the tune , and gotta love Hank Marvin/Cliff Richard of the Shadows!
