How to get CNN app off of my iPhone

I'm tired of getting CNN blasts all day long on my iPhone. I turned off everything associated with CNN in my settings and got the CNN app to jiggle and X'd it out, but still get all the notifications. Any ideas?

I'm an Android guy, but I'd rather take a beating than have ANYTHING "CNN" going on.
