Dang, as good as that looks, I'd have trouble making myself go to a burst on it.

Mike that looks great as expected simply cause your craftsmanship is par excellant'.My Fessy has the plastic/ laminate curling and falling off so I was wondering who your source for veneer is, this Fessy would look nice IMO with veneer. Thanks in advance ,Stormy :)

I found dealers on eBay that have nice stuff at a reasonable price point. Of course if you do a Google search you can come up with lots of hits and options to buy your veneer.

I suggest you do some research and maybe watch some Youtubes on how to do this as it is somewhat tricky business to get it really right

Parts Cleaning day

Durasonic Ultrasonic Cleaner (Hot tank). I use Timekeepers cleaning solution which works well for me. After about a 2 hours run and dip all the parts in alcohol which absorbs any water. Then it's off to my home made dryer box. Basically a plastic tub with lid. I cut a hole in the top where a blowdryer goes and two exhaust holes in the sides. Works for me real well

Here is the ultrasonic solution I prefer:

That's ticket for cleaning ,arguably the most tedious job next to polishing. I've had an ultrasonic module of fairly high power laying around for a few years now I what to do with it, thx again Mike...Stormy :) just a suggestion acetone is a much better solvent for wet-drying than most available alcohols and dries faster ,just a thought.

It takes a lot of work to buff each part but in the end it makes a difference to me.

Mike, that is really going to be nice. Question please, if you put veneer on it, where did the little designs come from? I know not her about woods or anything like this so I don't understand how you get that little pattern in the wood.

If you are speaking about the trim pieces, they came from http://www.constantines.com/inlayborder53.aspx

A very thin 1/2" slot must be routered into the aprons and you get one shot to do it right! Not for the faint at heart LOL

Thanks Tony.

These are fantastic guitars for sure. One will get sold when I'm done but it's going to be a tough choice of which to sell and which to keep. This guy will have a red belly and every single part polished to the max like my blue one. I also ordered a brand new Thomas case for Ole Red here just because a guitar this nice deserves a new case...

Stay tuned

Now we're talkin'. That's gonna be one nice lookin guitar fer sure! It will be a very tough choice if you have to choose which one you want to sell. I predict another stream..."which one is the keeper?" You'll be getting a ton of opinions on that one.
Nice stuff Mike!!!

What a great job! That thing is a work of art! I'm curious to hear the difference in tone. I've never owned a metal neck lacquer Emmons that sounded like a Formica one. Wood neck guitars are the exception.

We will soon find out. I picked up the body and all the polishing today. Now it's flocking and assembly time for me.
