It's a funny crossover, isn't it, between westerns, which took place in hot, dry, dusty terrain, and surf music, which took place on the beach. But the soundtracks overlap quite a bit, don't they? :)

Yeah, a lot of crossover. A lot of movie themes and TV themes from the early 60s have that vibe... spy movies (J. Bond, Peter Gunn Theme), spaghetti westerns and surf guitar (Ventures, Shadows). That's the stuff I first learned on guitar and it's still etched in my brain!

Man, Doug I listened on my computer downstairs that has much better speakers and Wow! again. I will probably watch 'Endless Summer' and 'On any Sunday' this holiday because of your song, you totally caught the mood and made it fresh again, hope you have some Clams or Lobster over the 4th weekend!
Regards, Craig

I don't know, Jim. You wouldn't want to hear the first few takes of this song! No one will ever hear them!

Sorry Jim. I should have said Oysters, but fry those clams in New England and they're just as good! :)

Doug - great job! I really like your version of this classic surf tune. But then I've liked every song you've posted. Thanks again - I'm re-tuning one of my six string lap steels to D9 tonight because of this.
