Bullet cord users: any noticeable improvement in tone and/or reliability over George L cords and ends? Please describe the differences as best you can.
Thanks!

Wow!
Erv...this great to see! Haven't heard about these until just now.
I stopped using George-L, because (& I'm not a technician), because I can't see how such thin cables as the GL's, can be as good as professional, must thicker in diameter, cables??
The idea of being solder less, & able to easily make your own custom cables...is great. But, I don't want sacrifice TONE!
Are yours much thicker, than the George L cables? Like your standard soldered cables...such as Hosa, etc.? Or the same size, even?
Thanks. _________________ David "DJ" Rupert

David,
The Bullet cables are full sized cables, not like the George L's. I'm sure you'd like them.
Thanks so much for your interest.

I had such a good reception with the Bullet cords and plugs at the Iowa steel show that they cleaned me out!
However, I have a fresh supply so we're back in business again.
You really should give them a try, I will put them up against anything on the market! |

I bought a set at the show in Waterloo. It's my opinion that they are a decent sounding cable. I still prefer Planet Waves solderless cables for sound quality.
I have one other issue with them and that is, a couple of the plugs barrels seem to be bigger than the others and you have to force them in the jack.
So, needless to say, that set has been put away. If the inconsistencies in the plugs are corrected and I can trade these back to the manufacturer for replacements I may use them once in a while. _________________ Zumsteel steel guitars, Telonics and Peavey amplifiers, GHS strings. |

Stu,
I sent you an email. Do you want both cables the same length (approx 3')?
I also need your postal mailing address.
Thanks,

Send me your address Erv. I will send you this plug for a replacement. All the others are fine.
I guess they didn't give that one enough turns on the lathe. _________________ Zumsteel steel guitars, Telonics and Peavey amplifiers, GHS strings. |

Mike,
I think they squeezed the black plastic insulator too tight and squashed it out.
I'll send you my address.
Thanks
