Where to Dispose of Oldies
I have about three computers sitting around home which are "off warranty." No longer working, operating systems that are not supported, etc.
I would just as soon not have someone harvest all the data on them for nefarious purposes. What's the safest way of getting rid of them?

Valid concern. I destroy hard drives I no longer want with a sledge hammer. I dispose of old cellphones the same way. Might be a bit "heavy-handed", pun intended, but it's effective.Ken Pippus wrote:I have about three computers sitting around home .. I agree on the Goodwill option. They will reload the computer and make sure it is running as a Linux computer.
