can't delete an email

Using windows live mail. I have an email which I cannot do anything with. A pop up window occurs saying "an unknown error has occurred" and I can't do anything with it at all. I'd like to delete it. Thanks for any help. Bill Myrick

Sometimes the WLM database gets corrupted and this happens. When it does, it may be that WLM has created a secondary folder that contains recovered messages. Look through your list of email folders in the program interface for any that say Recovered, or similar wording.

I found that this happened to me after I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10, then rolled back, then upgraded again. It happened again after I upgraded WLM from version 2011 to version 2012
