A lot of us have waited for something like this for a long time.

Just a suggestion/wish for you. For all I know you may have plans to do these anyway, but didn't break them out in your descriptions.

If you call out the various parts (fingers, bell cranks, etc.), actually put a human finger or a swizzle stick or something on them so us less familiar types will know for sure what part is being talked about.

There have been a lot of posts on how to clean and lubricate the guitar, especially the changer. Yes, I know that everyone has their own special way of doing this, their own special lubricants that they do and don't use, etc. But, it would be nice if you could split this up.

1) Basic cleaning/lubing, but without taking everything apart. A lot of us don't have the time, or are mechanically challenged, or both, particularly if it came down to taking the changer apart. I, for one, don't think that I'd ever attempt a thorough disassembly by myself.
2) Then of course, a thorough breakdown and cleaning of the changer and other parts for those that are inclined.

Like I said, just a wish list.
I know you'll make the right decision.

Will you cover timing the pulls? I've seen this covered for push pull guitars, but haven't found much on timing all pull changers.

5: Troubleshooting Tuning Issues

-- but the thing that deserves prime treatment is OVERTUNING.

This seems to be the most frequently posted problem. The first thing a new owner of an all pull guitar should know before touching a tuning wrench is the importance of slack in resting pull rods. A good explanation, with visuals, of a changer finger being suspended by an overtuned nylon nut and not returning to its stop will be worth a thousand SGF questions and answers.

If you do this well, it will be a valuable resource.

Great idea, Mickey. You'll probably cover it along the way but "Routine Maintenance" should be covered (lubrication, tightening up periodically, etc.)

I just thought of something that isn't related to mechanics per se, but........

In light of all of the threads lately pertaining to shipping problems, how about a section on how to pack a steel properly for shipping?

Like I said, not mechanical in nature, but just thinking out loud.
