Snow Leopard & Firefox
So - I am using an older MacBookPro & still using Snow Leopard w/ Firefox because I don't want to upgrade my video & audio editing tools. They are stable & work great.
The question is, I get messages to upgrade Firefox because of security issues.
Should I do so?
I understand older versions of Firefox "work better" with older OSX.
Yes, automatic update is turned off.
I am soon upgrading the MBP to a SSD & will doing a clean install of Snow Leopard OSX and the programs.
Yes, this stuff has all been tested to work with the SSD.
It's a Foxfire update I am concerned about.
Unless someone can recommend a different browser.
Also, this is not my internet computer, only go online occasionally with this MBP.
Thanks in advance!

Just 'cause I look stupid, don't mean I'm not.

Before you upgrade Firefox on that Mac, save the installation. If you have the downloaded setup file it is even better. Then make a note of the version and post a question about it on the Mozilla Firefox forums. Somebody may know what changes will affect your program and what tweaks can be made using about:config to restore those settings in a new version. There are hundreds of code tweaks available using this feature.
