I've been trying for years to find the two nings on my guitar. I haven't been successful. Where do they hide?
Carter D10 8p/7k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup, Regal RD40 Dobro (D tuning), Recording King Professional Dobro (G tuning), NV400, NV112, Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open G slide and regular G tuning guitar) .

Playing for 55 years and still counting.

You can't change strings,they have to want to change. Well that's what my therapist says.
Cops aren't paid much so I steel at night.

I've played with one or two bands where tuning my steel was a waste of time.

You could just tune 4 of them, but that would make you a bass player :D

You do realize they'll expect you to do it from now on....
2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
More amps than guitars, and not many effects

My theory is, the rustier they get, the more stable the string is. Rust is not as stretchy (technical term) as the steel strings. The string itself might need tuning, but the rust should stay in tune forever.

I went to see this band once. The steeler was so out of tune the fiddle player actually noticed...
