Coverting camera chip video to home player format

Any suggestions of a simple program that can change the format ? Thanks.

I use Realplayer to change format of files. It's free, but pay attention to extra stuff they want you to download and uncheck the boxes you don't want. You can change videos to MP3's and change from MP'3 files to WMA and vice versa. You don't have to complete the setup to the Cloud to use it either, at least I never have and I've had it for several years.
