Tommy plays with Vince Moreno downtown about every week. You can find Vince on Facebook, and he typically posts who is playing with him that day/evening. Vince is a true fan of steel guitar, and steel players. Tom Killen plays with him quite a bit as well. I have been known to occasionally sub for Tommy or Tom when they can't make it, and it's always a blast. I know Tyler Hall does some gigs with him here and there as well. Basically, you really can't go wrong if you go catch Vince playing somewhere.

I played with Vince here in Austin, during his brief sojourn here. He's an incredible entertainer... singer, guitarist, keys too... and let's his pickers pick.

Go see Vince regardless who's on steel. ;)
My rig: Infinity and Telonics.

Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg?

I'm sure he is. But he has enough time left over for other occasional gigs.

Thanks fellas and you're right Rick, Steve Hinson is one of the best and a jewel of a friend too.
I've not been playing downtown for several weeks due to the Grand Ole Opry, tv tapings with the Dailey& Vincent show and Ray Stevens "Nashville" show on the RFD network.
Travis and Tyler knock it out with Vince Moreno too. Like Herb said, you won't be disappointed anytime you go hear a Vince Moreno gig.👍🏻😊

Tommy - you must be one of the busiest players in Nashville, all for good reason.

Thanks everyone for your posts.

A special thanks to you Tommy for taking time to post. I only got to spend Sunday night (22) and part of Monday (23) in Nashville and was really hoping to get to see you with someone. I made the original post thinking that I had heard you had retired from the Opry the first of the year. So glad you are still there. I did get to see Rusty Danmyer at Layla's and he was great. Maybe I will get to see you next trip. There are some great players in Nashville and you are one of the very best!

There are several videos of Tommy with Vince on Youtube. The whole band is really good. I think Tommy is my favorite player these days.

Great stuff! And being a fan of slow songs, I absolutely loved "Look at Us!"
