Christmas Day Gig
Well, I've got my Christmas Day Gig. A local lady puts together a Christmas meal for emergency workers and the less fortunate at the Englewood Fire Hall (TN) from 2:30 - 6PM. They also deliver meals to those in need.
My wife (piano) and myself (pedal steel) as well as others will be providing the entertainment. Did it last year, and thoroughly enjoyed it!

Well, we made it, and had a good time. We played about 4 sets of traditional Christmas songs. I sang some and played steel on some, and did both on some.
We had a little problem getting there as it is currently flooding in several areas around here, but we used one route in, and another home.
Pics will be forthcoming...

Charlie, if there's one thing that will get me to come, it's food! We did eat!
They had turkey or ham, with all the trimming, and even desert. They fed about 50 at the fire hall, and delivered over 100 meals to shut ins.

And, as promised, hot off Facebook, pictures!
Man, that song must have been hard!

Doing some vocal work, probably White Christmas. Fat chance with flooding and 70 degrees in E TN!

Pick that music right boy!

Taking a break and chatting some.
My beautiful wife at the piano.

Well, we had a Merry Christmas! Now, just to unload everything today between rain storms! Oh, my aching back!

Thought some might want to see how we set up... don't ask me why I'm not smiling, maybe a wrong note or something... Jean is just concentrating...

The Harbinger V2112 powered speaker between us, Behringer mixer and Zoom MS-50G to my right.
The mic that appears to be in front of the speaker isn't. It's in front of me. They were in case of others that wanted to sing. They are MXL 990s.
I also had a boom stand available for a guitar with a MXL 991 on it.
My small boom is attached to my right rear guitar leg, with a Peavey PVM 480 on it.
Jean's piano is a Casio Pro Model Privia. It can do several instruments.
I also had my RCA tablet playing a Christmas mix when we took a break.
With the rear seats down in my Mercury Mountaineer, the back is plum full...

3rd year in a row in Englewood TN! Considering my wife had cataract surgery Dec 22, we did pretty good. Last year I was playing pedal steel, this year my little Rogue steel. I'm having a lot more fun with it than I did pedal steel!

I'm told they served a Christmas meal (eat in and take out) to 175 - 190 people. ALL FREE, turkey and the trimmings!

Jim, as soon as I sell my dobro, I plan to get another Rogue and "make mine a double". Gonna add a base to the bottom of the, with the far neck lifted about 1/2".
