Anybody Using Fractal Audio AXE FX preamp/processor ??

I know there are a few, but anybody interested in comparing notes on the Fractal Audio Axe gear for Pedal steel and beyond ??

I'm using it for Pedal steel, guitar, acoustic, Banjo, and Mandolin, and I'd be interested to discuss with others.

Hello Johan,

Thanks for posting.

I'm running my axe straight into a power amp mono then out to a single 15" speaker.
I've built a couple of custom presets based on baseman heads or twin reverb front ends, but I'm currently using the band commander preset pretty much stock.

How does that compare to what u are doing ?

Mostly I use the Shiver preset, but you need to squeek them all to clean. It has a lot of ambience then. I use the Matrix q12a powered cabinets. I'm very happy with this rig.

Do you use a volume pedal,between the guitar and the axe or have you set up one of the volume pedal,modules inside the axe ?

I use my Hilton in the efx Loop from the Axe, so I can put in the chain on any place I want to.

Do you do most of your preset editing via fractalbot on the computer or do you use the front face of the axe ?

I work on the front display of the axe, I'm not so into deep edditing...

Me too, been using one since the very first release.




The latest firmware update imho has been the best yet and for me requires substantially less tweaking to get great results.

I've also been using one for quite a few years now. It's a great piece of gear.
