Green Screen.

Post by Archie Nicol R.I.P. »

Hi, folks. Just recently when watching videos on You-Tube or FB, I get a green screen. The sound is fine and it does not happen all the time. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Arch.

YouTube uses (or used to) Adobe Flash. Flash has always been troublesome.

First thing, make sure you have the latest version of Flash.

YouTube also uses HTML5 but you need a browser that supports that. I.E.11 and Firefox, that I know of, support that.

Note that all major browsers (IE from IE9 up) support all major HTML5 elements natively. That includes HTML5 video elements in use on YouTube.

What few HTML5 elements that aren't supported natively by various browsers as of today, are not being messed up by any of them - they basically fail by not giving a few elements default styles.
