Adobe updates Flash Player to version 18.x. Update Now!

Adobe has just released a new version of Flash Player to patch a level 1 critical vulnerability that can be exploited to take complete control over your computers. Read the security bulletin at adobe.com for full details and links to the download page.

The Flash Player vulnerability that was patched on June 9, 2015 is now included in the Magnitude Exploit Kit. This kit is used to deliver malware onto unsuspecting computer users. The most common type of malware being pushed by the Magnitude at this time is ransomware, such as CryptoLocker and CryptoWall variants that encrypt your documents, audio, video and photos until you pay a ransom in Bitcoins.

If you have Flash Player installed on any PC, whether Windows, Mac, or Linux, please update to the most current version, but only via Adobe.com.

The current patched version is Flash Player 18.0.0.194 for all major browsers on Windows and Mac computers, and version 11.2.202.468 for Firefox on Linux and version 18.0.0.194 for Chrome on Linux. Note, there are different versions of Flash for Firefox, Chrome and Internet Explorer on Windows. The Chrome version has Flash built into the browser, which must be updated itself to patch plugin vulnerabilities.
