That little Red is one sweet guitar. I understand the only way to get a Whitney is to still one. :D Is that true? Hey, it may be worth the risk.

Sierra U-12 Bill Strouds "Ole Blackie"

Post by Dennis Wood »

My first guitar, still play it.This Sierra belonged to Bill Stroud of BJS Bars. I wanted to learn to play pedal steel and was acquainted with Bill through my work and wanted to start out on a s-10 but Bill talked me into the U-12. I took lessons from Bill, to bad some of his talent didn't come with the guitar..

Here is a picture of my 12 String Rittenberry Ext E 9th. Gary informed that he only built 4 12 strings and this is the last one that he will build.

Amazing guitar.

David, What is this? It looks like an early 70s mica body, with a new neck. And I've never seen an MSA with the endplates screwed into the front Apron like that.

Please tell us more about this guitar.

mike,
it is a 1964 , it was the guitar maurice recorded ..Moods of Maurice Anderson with , it was his personal guitar ... I got it from jr Knight, and had it refurb you might say, all the under is MSA mid 80's the body is org, end plates, as the key head.. and pedal bar, and pedals ....Darvin did all the work, took over a year, but it's well worth the wait!!!!!!....the guitar means a Lot to me, .......and there ya have it,, :D :D
