Has anyone ever seen the error message in this screenshot?

My version of Win7 is not counterfit and has been validated (a long time ago).

I've seen that when I changed some of the hardware that Windows reads to validate the license. Whether you changed anything or not, just go online and validate it again. If that doesn't work, call them with your serial number handy. Either way, it's pretty easy.

Thanks Jim. I was worried it was a scam like that FBI ransomeware scam.

Richard, I Googled that error and got lots of hits. I think it's a legit MS prompt, but it can stem from a host of scenarios, some bogus, meaning, you might still get it, even if you're running a genuine MS Windows OS. Apparently, sometimes you are forced to download and run the Windows Validation software to satisfy MS everything's on the up-and-up.
