I Love You Because

Post by Mark Greenway »

Does anyone have the tab for "I Love You Because"?

Just listened to the Jack Greene version. Really good. I wonder who played steel on that one?

Here it is:

Mark, I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the steel was played by Ron Elliott.

The Buddy Emmons version in "Expo E9th" is a swing version and is pretty cool to learn.

Jim Palenscar carries all of Buddy's courses.

Ron can get pretty close to JD's style, also I've heard Ron do I Love You Because, and this sounds (to me) like a couple of his runs/licks in there...Just my 2 cents..BF

There is an old Jeff Newman book, Music to Steel by

His version of that song sounds a lot like the version the on that youtube click. I have never been able to find the sound files for this book, but on this song it isn't needed. The tab comes together just like you would expect it to.

Herb Steiner has a terrific c6 version which is a bargain for $5.00.

Thanks Bill Ford,

Gary Cooper, you were correct. It was Ron Elliott.

We can put this one to rest thanks to Bill Ford getting it straight from the horses mouth.
