I have to admit that when you first announced that you were moving to Nashville I was sceptical. With so many steel guitarists there already, it seemed to me that it was a bit like carrying coals to Newcastle, that, no matter how talented you were, it would be difficult for you to stand out. However, I'm glad to say that I was way out, and you have succeeded beyond anyone's expectations.

Here's to you, Jamie, we take our hats off to you. 8)

Seems like the best chance I shall ever have of meeting you is if we both happen to be visiting Birmingham at the same time. I haven't set a date on this year's visit yet, but it should be interesting because most of the guys I played music with in the 60s and 70s are turning 70 this year and we're planning a reunion session. We did it ten years ago when we all turned 60 and it was so successful that we said we would do it again in ten years if we were all still capable of playing, which, by good fortune, we still are. ;-)
Let's hope we can do it again in 2025 when we all turn 80.;-) (Gosh, that time will go in no time at all...) :whoa:

Well done Jamie. I too was very sceptical that a Limey from the UK could make it over there. You have done so with interest so well done to you. From a fellow Limey. :D

Will you be playing for Ms. Underwood, or Easton Corbin?
Do you still work with Georgette at all?

Thanks guys!

Almost 10 years I've been here...very successful and still living my dream with great success.

Was just looking at my initial post...some comments looking back are hilarious..."Be ready to meet many broke musicians" wasn't the case...

Steak still tastes nice also. ;-)

Still alive and kicking

Post by Jamie Lennon »

Still kicking! Came off the road with Easton. I choose to do more sub work now, latest was Cody Johnson, subbing for my buddy Harrison Yount! I do more home sessions too and go out with Georgette when I choose to. I have really been blessed by God to have granted me this crazy dream I had! He gave me so much more than I ever dreamed of. Ive made life long friends here, hero's became friends too. It is so warming to see new players who have come to town taking the torch and flying with it. Thanks again for all the support!

Great to see you're still smashing it, Jamie. As a wide eyed 16 year old coming up you were my inspiration for what a Brit could achieve. All these years later you still are.

Keep up the great work.
